Rupert BeeleyRupert graduated from Cambridge University in 1980 with a degree in Philosophy & English Literature. He spent the first eight years of his career in merchant banking and capital markets, working for Morgan Grenfell and then for Lehman Brothers in London and New York. He switched to executive search in 1988 and subsequently became a partner with Heidrick & Struggles in the financial services team in London. Rupert founded Beeley & Company in 1995 to focus on executive search in asset management. Rupert looks after clients and runs all our searches, conducting all candidate interviews and developing all candidates directly. He has done more than 200 searches for senior management, client coverage and investment roles across mainstream and alternative asset management. Even so, he learns something new every time. |

Janie MilesJanie graduated from Exeter University in 1986 with a degree in History. Janie initially worked as researcher at the House of Commons and subsequently worked at IBC plc, the financial publishing and conference management business. In 1989 she joined Whitney Tyzack as a researcher in the financial services team and became head of research. In 1996 Janie joined Rupert and together they developed the business at Beeley & Company. Janie has run searches across investment, distribution and infrastructure and has run some of our client relationships. She now runs all our research activities. As such she oversees what is acknowledged to be the most comprehensive database in the asset management sector. She works closely with Rupert in active research, sourcing and candidate approaches, drawing on a network of external research resources. |
